Hi! I’m Lia, the designer, metalsmith, and business owner—the gal behind Sequoia Silver, making jewels, photographing and running things behind the scenes. I love to explore a variety of artistic media, but metalsmithing has been my main craft. I fell in love with the process, the tools, the metals, and especially the stones - magic straight from the earth!
Sequoia Silver is inspired by the giant sequoia and coastal redwoods, trees that represent home - places I grew up exploring and that continue to fill me with awe and wonder today. Through my work, I hope to honor the magnificent forests of the west and capture the experience of strolling among giants.
Every month, I donate a portion of my proceeds to support Save The Redwoods League and The Care Forest Project, two organizations dedicated to redwood forest conservation and nurturing our connection to the earth. When I set out to become a full time metalsmith, it was with the intention to direct attention and financial support to organizations that help protect precious land and work towards mitigating climate change. My goal is to grow my business so that I can maximize my contributions to these crucial efforts. I hope my work connects you too to the places in nature you feel most at home, grounded, and at peace.
